British Gas

Overview

The British Gas marketing department wanted an easy to use email marketing tool that would allow them to send standard as well as imaginatively designed emails, manage dynamic data bases and track the individual emails for numbers of delivered, bounced, unsubscribed, and click throughs.

The Result

KMP provided theĀ Ackura MessageSender system along with several content managed HTML templates designed to specific marketing briefs.

KMP's Ackura MS email marketing system was configured to allow the client to send up to 1.5 million opt in emails per month.

The ASP server was hosted at an ISP which satisfied the security and capacity requirements of the British Gas technical team.

During the height of the campaign, the email became a regular issue of up to 1.5 million promotional emails per month. The campaign was managed with regard to spam controls and ethical opt in policies. Results showed that up to 40% of promotional e mails sent - were opened.

This campaign also included a viral game to promote the brand with characters based on the creature comforts TV show.
